Is Keith really saying our soldiers are cold blooded killers? I'm not so sure that's what he's implying at all. It is true that this nation has laid waste to Iraq. I don't think Keith is referring to the soldiers. He's referring to Bush and his cronies- as well as groups such as Blackwater. Our troops follow orders so I don't believe that Keith would say that about them.
Now I could be wrong because only the Lord and Keith knows how his brain functions half the time, but fair is fair and I felt the need to defend him. I'll probably wake up in a cold sweat tonight doing this but I believe Keith really cares about our troops. And I'm sure he's just like everybody else who would like to see them all come home.
But afterwards that's when we all part company. He goes to his big house in the sky and plays with himself while the rest of the country, including our troops, goes home and struggles.
And, if you look at it closely enough, Keith's "special comments" are designed specifically to get a rise out of those who don't like him, and to get some ooohs and aaaahs from those who do.
So everybody fell for it. Including me. But then, I kinda sorta in a way like his commentaries.

A Breath Of Fresh Air
I finally got to see Rachel Maddow fill in for Keith. The show itself wasn't all that great, with the exception of the BillO video(which totally cracked me up), but she did a good job.
It was like being able to take a deep breath and there actually being air in the room to breathe in. When Keith is on he has the tendency to suck it all out.
Maybe that's why he's gained so much weight.

I could watch that BillO video over and over and not get bored with it. The # 1 story tonight was hilarious. The minute that lady mentioned BillO's hatred for women I laughed even harder.
Countdown outdid itself tonight. Bravo.
And there was more comedy. Did you watch McCain's face while he was speaking in tongues? You could tell that everything that was going out wasn't coming back in. I don't think he understood a word he said. His eyes were buggy and he concentrated way too hard. Just the look on his face told the whole story.
Good stuff.

Oh Hillary! You're So Funny
Primarily idiotic.
I only watch bits and pieces of the primaries because I can't stand to listen to the same shit over and over. However, I turned it on just in time to hear Keith say something along the lines of, "If the roles were reversed we'd be watching cartoons right now".
I couldn't agree more with that statement.
Hillary is an idiot. Maybe she's the one who needs some of that Exfixor(sp?)
Now getting to the "special comment". I understand that it was a very serious topic, which I'm not disputing in the least, BUT Keith's "anger" was so over the top that it made me chuckle. I actually stopped listening to the words and just watched what amounted to a scene out of some B movie. Atrocious.
The only thing good about Countdown tonight was the news about Edwards endorsing Obama. And Chuck Todd. And Richard Wolffe.

It Makes Him Happy
There's only one person who can make Keith happy. Bill O'Reilly. Everytime Keith even mentions BillO's name you can almost see his tail wag. But I do have to say that video was hilarious. I think he should show it again. At least a couple more times.

I Find This Interesting
Well, I'm utterly confused
One grandfather was a fireman and the other a sewer repair superintendent. My father is an architect who didn't go to college. I can't handle wiring but actually repaired a pool filter once and can manage hammer-and-nails stuff. Oh, and from your poll, Bill Nye and I were at Cornell at the same time (Bill Maher too).

What I'm getting from this statement, of course I had to read the whole thing to understand it, is that the person who wrote this post thinks Keith doesn't get it. So Keith replies with something so incredible stupid that I just had to post it.
Just from his reply alone tells me he doesn't get it. I've been saying for quite a while that Keith can't relate to those Americans, which is most of them, who struggle from day to day. Though he worked his way to the top it doesn't mean he was ever truly at the bottom. He can't appreciate the hardships most people go through while he's sitting in his multi-million dollar condo getting fatter with a 24 year old girl.
Keith is most definitely "elite". Mostly Hollywood elite. He has common sense but not enough to do what's right. Just because he was "smart" enough to go against the Bush administration when no body else would do it doesn't automatically make him "salt of the earth".
The only time I see him actually put his feet on the ground is when he talks about our troops. Otherwise, he floats around with his big giant head trying to pretend he can relate. And the only reason he's blogging on that site is so he can maintain an audience.
I don't believe for one minute that he gives a damn about those people. The last sentence from his reply tells a great deal about him.

Nobody wants to hear about anybody's personal fetishes. Seriously. And thank God Keith has stopped talking about his stupid little girl, who obviously isn't working anymore. Which, I think, got fired. I don't know if that's a fact. I just know it sounds good.
Countdown was good again. What a surprise. Oddball has definitely been much better this year than last year, and I'm praying early that we don't get the Christmas Oddball Extravaganza thrown at us again. Please. Too much of a good thing isn't a good thing anymore.
I know, here's an idea. It may be hard to comprehend so read carefully. How about something NEW? That would be a good thing.

Tim Russert Knows
Dana Milbank is funny. I like him. Tonight's Countdown was really good. Especially oddball. I absolutely loved the tuba player tripping that boy. And how many ways can you say "awwww" about a cute green puppy. ;-)
Anyway, on to the politics. Hillary is still a sore loser. She should listen to Tim Russert. And everybody else who knows when it's time to quit.
Now McCain? That's an interesting story. This is what I'm thinking. The democrats aren't going after him for his preacher problems because they know that McCain doesn't get it.
Have you ever spoken to a dog, preferably your pet, and he/she cocks its head to one side because they're trying to comprehend what the human is saying? Well, that's McCain. I mean, half of the time he doesn't even know where he is, which in and of itself is really sad, and I'm not even sure if he understands that he's actually running for the Presidency, so I think they feel sorry for him.
He's not gonna win and they know it. So why fight someone who is oblivious to anything that goes on beyond his own personal space?
Politics on Countdown has been boring until tonight. Good job.

Clindone?
That was a good caption.
I enjoyed Countdown tonight. Even Keith salivating over the big boob story was pretty good. I can almost see him watching that video for the first time. His eyes popped wide open and his first word was "mercy". Then he got horny.
Didn't care too much for that last story but I do have to say that the stadium is impressive. However, he could've left giggles at home. She was chuckling at nothing. He wasn't funny but yet she giggled. Go figure. Oh, and Lord, he has reeeeeaaaaaally gained weight.
Speaking of giggles. Whatever happened to her career? I haven't seen any recent videos. Do you think maybe they might be protecting her from the bad bad public scrutiny? Ah, poor baby, we hurt her feelings.
But then, maybe she realized she really does suck and decided to work behind the scenes instead. That would be a smart move.
But then, who the fuck cares. All I know is that I think it's her fault that Keith is going down that horrible road he's on.

Kal Penn
I thought that guy looked familiar. He plays on the t.v. show House. That's a good show. Anyway, I enjoyed that interview. However, Keith is a whore. If he could change his gender on a regular basis he would screw every actor or actress who has ever said they watch his show or is on his show.

Obama Criticizes Clinton

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Barack Obama scolded Democratic rival Hillary Rodham Clinton on Sunday for saying that the United States would "totally obliterate" Iran if it attacks Israel, and likened her to President Bush. Clinton stood by her comment.
The foreign policy dustup came as the two candidates appeared separately on dueling Sunday news shows and as the drawn-out fight for the Democratic nomination grew ever more fierce ahead of the next pivotal pair of primaries, in Indiana and North Carolina on Tuesday.
Seeking the advantage, Obama seized on Clinton's recent answer when asked what she would do if she wins the White House and Iran attacked Israel with nuclear weapons.
"I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president, we will attack Iran," Clinton said April 22 in an interview with ABC. "In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them."
On Wednesday, Iran strongly condemned Clinton for her remarks. Iran's deputy U.N. ambassador, Mehdi Danesh-Yazdi, called her comment "provocative, unwarranted and irresponsible" and "a flagrant violation" of the U.N. Charter.
On "Meet the Press" Sunday, Obama said: "It's not the language we need right now, and I think it's language reflective of George Bush. We have had a foreign policy of bluster and saber rattling and tough talk and in the meantime have made a series strategic decisions that have actually strengthened Iran."
He also suggested Clinton's comments were politically motivated.
"Senator Clinton during the course of the campaign has said we shouldn't speculate about Iran, we've got to be cautious when we're running for president, she scolded me on a couple of occasions on this issue, yet a few days before an election, she's willing to use that language," he said.
Clinton, asked on ABC's "This Week" about Obama's criticism, said she had no regrets about her comment.
"Why would I have any regrets? I'm asked a question about what I would do if Iran attacked our ally, a country that many of us have a great deal of, you know, connection with and feeling for, for all kinds of reasons. And, yes, we would have massive retaliation against Iran," Clinton said.
"I don't think they will do that, but I sure want to make it abundantly clear to them that they would face a tremendous cost if they did such a thing," she said.
The two also squared off anew over Clinton's proposal for a gas tax holiday this summer, which Obama opposes.
Obama called the proposal a "classic Washington gimmick" that wouldn't solve anything and would save only $28 for each person. Asked if the proposal amounted to a politician pandering, Obama said, "Yes."
Clinton, for her part, disputed Obama's suggestions that she and Republican candidate John McCain were the same because they both support a gas tax holiday.
"Senator McCain has said take off the gas tax, don't pay for it, throw us further into deficit and debt. That is not what I've proposed," Clinton said, adding that she wants the oil companies to pay the gas tax instead of consumers this summer.
Pressed to name an economist who supports such a holiday, Clinton demurred. "I'm not going to put my lot in with economists because I know if we did it right, if we actually did it right, if we had a president who used all the tools of his presidency, we would decide it in such a way that it would be implemented effectively."
Obama leads in the hunt for convention delegates - 1,742.5 to 1,607.5, according to an Associated Press count Sunday - but has hit a rough patch over the past month. youre peice is informative. its nice to see someone questioning the validity of propostions that will effect the lives of countless people who probably have no clue about it. i think you can make the peice even better if you have some more cover video and b roll.

Wasn't Worth The Mention
BillO is an idiot. Everybody knows that every time he opens his mouth something stupid comes out. And that's putting it mildly. If you don't believe me just ask Keith. He can't wait to tell you. But BillO saying his interview with Hillary was "world exclusive" wasn't even worth the mention.
What I saw in Keith about that was jealousy. He looked jealous and he sounded jealous. Why would he be jealous you ask? Because BillO's ratings for that interview were big. Bigger than Keith's. I'm just waiting for the day that those two stand side by side, throw down their trousers and pull out the measuring tape.
Keith needs to face it. His ratings are never going to maintain a lead over BillO's. Unfortunately. But I choose to stick with Keith because he's the lesser of the two evils. And every great once in a while he's even funny. And there's a thorn in there somewhere.
I'm gonna change the subject to something more interesting. Did Maria Milito dress for success last night? And was she successful? Don't get me wrong, I like her. I just thought her outfit was a bit inappropriate..unless.....;-)
On to better things. I was so into the Obama's interview on Countdown tonight that it startled me when it ended. They are so mesmerizing. I love them.
