One note that I must address. I agree that Rupurt Murdoch and his "friends" are sick, BUT so is Keith. I guess it really does take one to know one.
And nothing says mourning like going to a fun game of baseball.

He had no reason to mourn Tony Snow any more than what he did. Russert was different. It was unexpected, while everyone knew Tony didn't have long. What Keith said about Tony was appropriate. If not for Murdoch's NY Post slime, the incident of his passing could have been left at that. Instead, Murdoch baited Keith into making it about himself, again. But, I expect that. That's Keith's job, at least part of the time.
What Keith doesn't get, is that it is as easy for Rupert Murdoch to bait him, as it is for Keith to bait Billo into responding. He falls for it every time. Wise up, Keith. Sometimes (but definitely, not all the time) it's better to say nothing.
I disagree with you about Keith and DP. I think Dan is his one true friend, and DP's said on the air before to Keith that he loves him--as a friend, that is. He meant that, I could hear it in his voice. I don't remember what Keith said back to him, though I'm sure he didn't say he loved him too. Things like that are awkward for Keith.
being a normal human is odd for Keith.

he had no reason to pay respects to tony snow, like he overdid for russert, was because russert was a fellow nbc'er and snow wasn't.
you can bet your life that had russert been at FOX, keify (bear) would have disrespected him endlessly. kinda how olbermann never said a damn thing about imus until he was fired. Bear is a total hack, coward, backstabber, and suckup.
im sure hes all that and more.
